Audio Tour:
The Palace Bakery and Ice Cream Shop was in operation in the early 1900s on McCaffrey Avenue. If you had an ailment, the dentist office (located on the second floor) would fix you up, good as new. Then you could run back downstairs for ice cream!
Some interesting items in this building include a very old cash register that used a marble plate to authenticate gold coins, a tree-sized butcher block, and a dynamite thawer used to keep dynamite stable as it thawed. Eek!
